Who's the guy in the AT&T 12 year phone trade-in commercial?
If you're watching March Madness -- wowowow that UNC v Baylor game was insane!! -- you probably saw the AT&T commercial where a man tries to trade in his 12 year old phone. The saleswoman "Lily" convinces the man to trade in his old Galaxy for a new one. Even though he loved his old phone. Who is this guy with the old phone in the AT&T ad that's airing now? I had to find out because it was driving me nuts (much like the UNC free-throw game, but I digress.)
So the man is Matthew Stafford, an NFL player hints at "life-changing" switch from Lions to Rams. The Detroit Free Press writes: "Stafford, of course, is referring to his 12 years with the Detroit Lions, who drafted him No. 1 overall in 2009 and made him their franchise quarterback. Stafford was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, where he proceeded to win his first Super Bowl championship last month."
OH LOL so it's the Super Bowl winning quarterback? Gotcha. Good to know. Listen, I'm a college basketball fan, sooooo I didn't know! But now you do.
Go Heels! And the Rams? Sure, why not.
