Ugh, I feel anxious about having food stuck in my teeth and having to tell people they have something in their teeth. But please tell them!!! So much more embarrassing to not say anything. 

it's absolutely the latter. And honestly, I don't think it's embarrassing or awkward to tell someone they have food in their teeth if you do it like a normal person. All you have to say is 'Oh wait, you've got something stuck!' do the lil pointy thing to give them the general geographical location, and say, 'You're good! What were you saying?' 

I will literally call people out for not telling me. Have sent texts hours later like, 'What the hell is wrong with you? Why wouldn't you say something?'

This was recently discussed on one of my fave podcasts, Deep Dive with Jessica St Clair and June Diane Raphael. They were solidly on Team Tell Someone! The only tricky part is when there is a power dynamic. Like, if you're interviewing for a job and the interviewer has food in their teeth ... do you tell them?? TBH I don't think I would. But a friend? 100%

It is the latter for sure.  So wrong not to mention it as discreetly as possible so as not to cause embarrassment.

This is how you weed out friends. Anyone who DOESN’T tell you does not love you.

We all can agree it's the latter, right? 

It's a humiliating experience for all of us, let's just be temporarily awkward together and be fine with it.
