I’m definitely claiming Max Martin’s catalogue as my own. That way, I become a bajillionaire and respected in my industry, but never famous enough to experience what Britney did. 

i know this is somewhat outside the brief but i always dreamed of going back far enough in time to steal credit for the polio vaccine. just to be the world's true ultimate hero.

but sticking to your rules — i'd take credit for the simpsons. just bring a tote of scripts with me into 1981, and mail them like a comedy a unabomber to Fox. and i'd never reveal my face so i could be a comedy genius recluse (like John Schwartzwelder)

I’d steal Ryan Murphy and/or Kenny Ortega’s entire filmography.

EDIT: I also understand this is not a "would you rather" BUT THE SPIRIT IS THERE. 

Let's say you went back in time 30-50 years. Let's also say you're morally corrupt enough to co-opt something from the future and present it as your own. For example, the iPhone, or "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls, or the hamster dance screensaver, or... literally anything created post-1990.
