Ugh, I used to LOVE Catfish, but, after awhile, watching it made me so sad. The sheer desperation of people who want so badly to be with someone they will make countless excuses... like the guy who thought he was dating Katy Perry? And even when it was proved that he wasn't, he still believed it after the show was done? Ugh. 

I knew someone in high school who was catfished before we knew what catfishing was! He literally flew across the country to "meet" her. 

So, MTV's Catfish is one of my absolute favorite shows, and I'm so glad it's back for another season. But I have to wonder, how common is it to get catfished?? Have you/anyone you know gotten catfished? I met my partner online like 20 years ago, and this wasn't even a thing we worried about back then....
