So, I do think that people have misused it so much that it has become meaningless. But, I hate that we're trying to cancel it because of it. Because real gaslighting is something that should be discussed. Right now, a lot of men (especially Bachelors) have been able to say, "you're misusing the word" because so many people HAVE, but it doesn't discount the fact that people DO actually gaslight women.

I’ve been seeing chatter that people think the word “gaslight”’is over. Retired. Played out. 

I kinda agree, but only in cases where it’s used incorrectly, which now happens all the time. No wonder Gen Z has the saying “gaslight girlboss gatekeep” — they’re wise to make fun of overused words that have lost meaning and significance due to their overuse. 

Are you retiring “gaslight” or are we still using it?? And what are we replacing it with.
