Welll...... we called my grandmother Goo-Goo. My older sister (when she was 2) called her that over and over, so it stuck! It doesn't even sound weird to me that she's Goo-Goo. Just normal!

My bff in college called her grandma GaGa. Felt like we were meant to be. 

I was such an adult child I called them grandma and grandpa. No time for silly nicknames!!

Gramma = Nini, Grandpa = Boppa. Just the names given to them by the eldest cousin in the family.

If I had my choice it would be "Buca" and "Beppo"

Oh and I think the real sickos would be the ones who call their granddads "grandfather." Like, "hi, grandfather, how are you?" that is so formal and scary!

I love my nana. She always insists on being called Nana and not grandma. I don’t know why? I feel like ill carry that when I become one

One of my favorite thing to learn about people is the names they had for their grandparents. While Grandpa and Grandma are certainly the most popular/common ones, I feel like grandparents get the craziest/most awesome nicknames from their grandkids.

There's nothing funnier to me than people who served in World War II or raised 14 kids during The Great Depression being called, like, Gum Gum and Pee Paw instead of their real, distinguished names. So, what did you call your grandparent(s) and how did the name come to be?
