The most fun I ever had during funemployment was doing fancy lunch. Like, you NEVER have time working doing a long lunch, so I would go to the UES, get an al fresco table, order a martini at 1pm. You get a mad headache by 5, but it feels like a fancy headache. 

I love doing touristy things during the week (although I think next week is Spring Break?) but the museums are so nice during the week when they're not as busy. You can go to a fancy restaurant for lunch without worrying about a reservation. It's also a great time to check out an area that you're not as familiar with -- take the ferry into Brooklyn and walk around/have lunch. (I'm sensing a theme here!) Catching a midday movie is really nice too. Get a massage/facial! The options are limitless.

I would try to do things that you never would do normally. Maybe, in NYC, do touristy things for fun. Go to a museum! Go on one of those double decker buses! Go to the most touristy restaurant that you have to wait in line for! Just allow yourself the chance to feel like you can truly escape, even in your own city. 

Just don’t stay in your apartment all day.

. As someone who loves the outdoors I say bike to a great park! Not sure which borough you're in but Marine Park, or any of the many other parks along Jamaica Bay are beautiful and you can even do some small hikes! The Bronx also has some cool parks worth checking out. If you want a day trip you can take the train to break neck ridge

Go to a restaurant for lunch that would otherwise be too busy on the weekend. It makes you feel like a real housewife lol

Visit a unique Airbnb! Go on Groupon and go crazy!

I’d lay in bed and eat junk food and watch all the TV I wanted. No regrets. Self care, baby!

- Bring a book and hang out at Little Island

- Go up to the Bronx and get food on Arthur Ave. (you'd never go up there without a week off!)

- Go to top of the rock and see all the views while it's not busy

- If you've got some spending money, see a broadway matinee

I newly have a full week off with nothing to do - in between jobs. I'm at a complete loss as to what I should do! Any suggestions? I can't go on vacation... So it must be a staycation. I live in NYC, so there's a lot of potential. But ack - too many options! Help! (please!)
