I thought Bloody Mary was a real ghost who would appear if you yelled it three times in a bathroom with the lights off.  Sure, I was skeptical but still wouldn't risk it. 

Anyway, it still haunts me to this day, which is why I stay away from the brunch drink!

Oh, also, this one is morbid, but I fully believed the urban legend about the surfer on top of the World Trade Center who surfed down the tower and lived when it collapsed. There were so many “inspiring” fake stories that circulated that day. 

Does quicksand count as an urban legend? Really thought it was gonna get me one day. 

I was really concerned about the Bermuda Triangle. Even when I flew to the Caribbean as SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL, I was really worried about the plane just disappearing. I know there's probably some truth to The Triangle and its weather patterns that baffled explorers, but of course, it's not an issue in modern times! But I am still afraid/still believe it is!

When I was 10, I heard that the Spice Girls were actually actresses from the Spice channel. I believed this for YEARS — probably until college?
