What is the most courses you’ve had in a meal?

I have never had more than a four course meal. I heard they can go up to 8 to 12 courses.

for me it’s the classic

Soup/salad

Appetizer

Meal

Dessert.

And tbh when I go out I barely do all that. Appetizers and the meal is the go to but I very rarely do dessert. I just learned that for really fancy meals there’s an amuse Bouche so that’s five I can think of.

For those who have served or been served a more than five course meal do they have a special name for each course? Do you remember what you ate in what order?
