Food commercials with chewing/sipping sounds are the bane of my existence

The absolute fastest way to ensure I will never buy your product is to have chewing/slurping/noisy food sounds in your commercial and yet so many companies seem to insist on doing it. What on EARTH possesses an ad exec to think, I know what people love: someone loudly eating cereal. I can't stand hearing people I know do this IRL, let alone hear it from a stranger on television. I can't be the only one who has a visceral reaction to this. WHY. WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME.
