Beautifully put. I completely agree. I love the care that Zendaya has for the character she plays because it never disappoints. Also, the way in which I howleddddd when she popped the question to Cassie about hooking up with Nate.

I agree-- Zendaya's acting is incredible. I hope she wins all the awards!! The way she's able to go from screaming/angry to sobbing in the corner, and the way she yelled at Jules!! I would have been a wreck as an actor after all that. And yes, cannot wait for next week to see how the "love triangle" plays out!

I grew up around severe mental illness and the acting she gave in the beginning of the episode along with her mother and sisters characters was so realistic, that it triggered me. It was incredible acting all around. 

Yes, she's complex, complicated, and usually doing exactly what she shouldn't be doing, and you're still rooting for her. All of the characters on Euphoria are so expertly written, but Rue is a masterclass in character building for television (and figuring out how to not overexpose your character too early on in the series). Like, the fact that I'm still learning about her and understanding her decision making just speaks volumes to the writers and Zendaya. 

This season has definitely been the most meme-worthy season, and I feel like them leaning into that is only helping the show. I'm with you on Rue — Zendaya is absolutely excellent. 

Oh my God gives Zendaya all of the Emmys now. She had me so stressed out and still was able to be comical when she snitched on Cassie. That whole episode is something that will be talked about in film schools everywhere. I can’t wait to see how that plays out too

If Zendaya doesn't earn her second Emmy based on that performance... WE TAKE TO THE STREETS! WE RIOT! LOL! I cried multiple times during the first 15 minutes, laughed when Rue got the attention off of her with a single question to Cassie, watched anxiously when she tried to escape her drug dealer's house... it was a rollercoaster of emotions. This is why I lowkey get offended when people refer to it simply as a "high school drama." Dawson's Creek COULD NEVER!

Season 2 episode 5 of Euphoria was in my opinion the best episode of the season thus far. Zendaya really took it there with Rue's character and we seen some Oscar worthy acting, the emotions were raw and extremely realistic. For a moment I forgot that I was watching a show and that's how I know that she did what she needed to do! Rue might be a bit boring and in a constant melancholy mood, but when she's good she's good. Plus she spilled the beans about Cassie and Nate.. This is the moment that Euphoria fans have been waiting on and I think we should thank Rue for that.

Side note: Can't wait to see how Maddy lashes out at Nate and Cassie *Evil Laughs*
