It's a mouthful: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Absolutely stunning, though I couldn't turn the sound off because the soundtrack only enhances its beauty. 

For me, it's got to be There Will Be Blood. It could be that Trent Reznor's score made everything 10x more gorgeous, but something about the open vistas, particularly in the first 20 minutes of the movie, were incredible to see. 

in the mood for love by wang kar-wai. the lighting, the score, the costumes, everything about is simply gorgeous and breathtaking. it's one of those movies you should watch after taking a long bath and sinking into an existential crisis 

I feel like a dweeb saying this, but Moulin Rouge makes my jaw drop. 

Also - Moonlight. Moonlight, moonlight, moonlight. I’ll say it again. Moonlight.

For me, it’s the great Gatsby made in 2013 starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. Not only is this the movie that truly made me fall in love with cinema but I also love the soundtrack. To make everything better, I had just read the great Gatsby the year before it came out in high school and this was when we were also introduced to Lana Del Rey. But back to the aesthetic. The coloring, the shots, the attention to detail that Baz Luhrmann put into the movie it’s something that I truly appreciate. It doesn’t matter if you like the plot, the dialogue, or the actors it is just a beautiful movie to look at.
