Grocery prices are so insanely high right now, it's hard to believe. I definitely had to make some lifestyle changes recently lol

Welcome to the most expensive city in the country baby!! But all kidding aside -- I just took a look at some of the grocery stores on Instacart in the NYC area, and a gallon milk seems to be anywhere from $3.99 for regular milk, to $6-$8 for organic milk, so I'd say $6 is definitely a little high.  The average price of ground beef looks like it's $7-8. I definitely feel like takeout/restaurant prices have skyrocketed since COVID, but I know the supermarkets must be feeling it too.

I am always SHOCKED how expensive a box of cereal is. If I were playing Price is Right and asked to guess, I would say $2.50 max. They're, like, $7!!!!!! What?! For these lil oats??

I don't know how my parents did it... For me, it's whenever I have to buy things like garbage bags or toilet paper / paper towels. I'm like... DAMN, do I need to throw things away, or can I just live in filth but safe $12? 

OK so I do a mix of groceries and meal prep. I do meal prep during most of the week a.k.a. I have cooked food delivered because I just don’t have time or nor do I want to cook when I work and I have a bunch of stuff that I do after work like podcasting and running a fan page. But usually I only order a few groceries to get me through the weekend because my food prep gets delivered every Monday. I just had to order a weeks worth of food because I have my mom staying with me and I don’t want her eating my meal preps so I just bought regular food. And for some reason I did not notice how expensive simple groceries have become. Literally a gallon of storebrand milk is almost 6 dollars. Six bagels are Six dollars. A pound of ground beef it’s almost $11. Even like one pound of grapes not even the good ones a pound of that is like five dollars. It wasn’t like this during the pandemic and I don’t really remember it being this expensive last year. But recently and especially today grocery prices are literally in the same! Is it just me in South Florida or is it happening all over the country?
