So true! The same way he wanted Kim and the kids to pack it up and move to Wyoming and when they didn't it caused a strain on their relationship. Does he really think it's his world and Kim is just living in it?

Its definitely bad messaging, trying to prove you can intimidate a partner into staying. It’s true that we’re largely laughing about the drama, when it does actually look a lot like domestic violence. Oof. 

Exactly. Kanye feels as though he is entitled to Kim. She shouldn't move on without him (but, let's not forget he's also in a new relationship). 

He's treating her as though she's property, versus the person he was married to for years. It's not so surprising, given Kanye's history of sexism, but it's disappointing that someone with money and power and sway would still be so antiquated. 

It really feels like we’re watching (and even encouraging in some ways) stalking in action. 

I read somewhere that this could just be the Kardash press machine working to promote Ye’s album… which seems possible but also like victim blaming. 

One thing that really has been bothering me, and no one seems to be addressing is... it doesn't matter how much Kanye "wants his family back" or is "not giving up on his family." If one partner wants a divorce, they're not obligated to stay. A friend of mine was in a really unhealthy co-dependent marriage, and when divorce was on the table things got really scary. A woman (or man!) shouldn't feel threatened to stay in a marriage they're not happy in. We obviously don't know all the details of their marriage, and who knows, maybe they could reconcile and live happily ever after... but I hate how much Kanye talks about how much he "wants" them to get back together. Because it's not all about what he wants.
