Yo ok so I only have 1-2 people who use "close circle" so I'm less "why me" and more "why not me"? 

The real question is… who DOESN’T consider you a “close friend”? I am paranoid about this constantly. 

Though, I have a theory: I think it mostly happens with people without many followers. They break up their following by work people and close friends (who they consider virtually anyone they were ever a "friend" with). So they use their Instagram either professionally, or they use it to post personal photos to anyone who they feel safe posting it to. 

Do you ever see that you're included in someone's "close friends" list on Instagram and think, "Why me?" I was on Instagram the other day, and a girl who I haven't spoken to in over 10 years... and we were never close to begin with (though we DM once in a while about shared interests like Bravo) included me in her "close friends" list. Another guy, who I've met maybe 5-6 times, and we live across the country from each other, also has me on his close friends list. 

There's nothing wrong with these people — they're very nice people! But I can't help but wonder... why are you including me? I don't feel the same way about you, and the content isn't particularly relevant to me. I wish I could excuse myself just because it feels too personal. Anyone else?
