Meditation doesn’t work for me

I am all about holistic approaches and taking time to reflect and relax and unwind. Over the years, I’ve been told meditation, even for 5 mins in the morning, can make or break your day. I’ve recently tried to start my own meditation practice and I gotta say… it breaks my day.

I have an impossible time turning my brain off and find myself spiraling more during my practice than I normally would while keeping myself busy with morning tasks. I do the guided meditation on the peloton app, so maybe that’s just not a fit for me. But has anyone else encountered this? I feel like I’m doing it wrong!
