Most overrated book of all time?
Some books just ain't worth the hype.
For me, the biggest culprit was Hanya Yanagihara's "A Little Life."
I was told it was a must read. But, wow, it was 900 pages of barely-edited misery porn. I've never wanted to hurl a book more in my life.
How about you?

It's not a "classic," but I was really, really disappointed in "Bossypants." It felt like Tina Fey tried for the first five chapters, then just wrote a first draft for the rest and didn't bother refining it. I get it — it was around the time that every celebrity had to write a memoir, but I'd rather wait for the right memoir than have someone speed their way to a release.
I've never read that one, but I remember being forced to read The Hobbit in like 7th grade and I absolutely hated it. So boring, and completely turned me off to the LOTR movies and that whole genre.
Could not agree with you more on that one, my man. Also, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy. It was an arduous read and I didn't enjoy it one bit. Buuuut, it has served as my laptop stand for close to 10 years now, so for that, I am grateful.
You’re spot on with A Little Life. I could write a million words on that one. And Infinite Jest.
