In the mood for a heartbreaker of a memoir?

Then oh boy do i have a rec for you.

“In Love,” by Amy Bloom, is about how the author and her husband decide to handle it, when he’s diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

They go to Switzerland, where her husband is to be euthanized via physician-assisted suicide.

Its very dark and sad. But also very sweet and tender — centered on their love story, and how they’ve chosen to end it.

Really great writing too.

Check it out if you feel like a few decent cries. And id love some similar recs in this vein, if you got em!
