I didn't get that from Anthony ! But I may have missed that? 

For me, I'm more disturbed by the message that love makes you do things like that. What a toxic message. Love makes you "defend your family" but in this case, specifically, assault someone. That's not something I can ever get behind. 

Chris shouldn't have made the jokes multiple times about Jada. But violence is never the answer! I'm team nobody in that situation. 

My sense is that Team Will are other abusive men who say and do the exact same things he said and did tonight. 

This has me shook. Violence is not ever the answer and Will should’ve been treated the way any other person who did that would’ve been. He should’ve been removed and no one should be defending his actions. 

Not confused at all. No waffling. No back and forth. It was completely uncalled for and way, way out of bounds. Not cool.

I would be curious to see how the convo evolves in the coming week or so — I already saw people last night backtrack from their initial support of Will. 

It’s funny too — the majority of people that seem to be defending him are men; most women I see have been criticizing Will for the move and his use of language during this speech, which justified violence as “love.” That is downright triggering.

It’s constantly shifting. At first, I feel like team will came out in droves. Then, after his speech, it shifted to team Chris. Now I’m seeing it shift back again. 

I think no one knows what to do when two beloved celebrities are involved, as well as a lot of other sensitive issues. 

Seems like the Oscar’s crowd and producers and Anthony Hopkins are team Will? Seeing love for him on social media too. People saying it’s sexy that he defended his wife. Which implies to me that women need men defending them, which no thanks ❤️
