I agree... it feels weird. Call me traditional, but let's keep the OSCARS to the people it is relevant to! 

Also, you know how the Oscars love to reward celebrities for having their year. It’s Kourtney’s year.

It feels in the same vein as the people’s choice category they’re doing. They’re trying to appeal to more people, since they know no one is watching, but they would actually be so much better off ignoring the masses and catering to the movie obsessives.

They’re so thirsty! But generally there is a reason for the invite… I too am curious

It’s a way to get posted on Instagram? Lord knows the majority of moviegoers haven’t seen the nominated movies, so might as well invite the reality stars.

Please, someone explain this to me. I know the Oscars are desperate to be young and relevant, but having the Kardashians and Tony Hawk and DJ Khaled there doesn't just feel try hard, it just feels so ridiculously out of touch. WHO IS THIS FOR?
