Moving in NYC is an absolute nightmare. God speed and god bless. And just think, in about 4 weeks, this will all be over!

If you feel stressed on the timing, you can always do an airbnb and keep your stuff in storage until you find a place! 

But I feel you, renting in NYC is so so stressful. Sending you good vibes! 

Oh gosh this is stressful!! I hate the say this because it's definitely not necessarily the cheapest way, but I would highly recommend finding a broker that can help you, especially because you'll be out of town with limited time to actually look at these places. I found a place on apartments.com, the broker was through Corcoran which can be expensive, HOWEVER it was no fee. Also, ask all your friends/put the word out there! I feel like someone is always looking for a roommate. 

The rental market in NYC is crazy right now. It's definitely slowed down a bit but things still seem to be flying off the shelves. My lease is ending on May 8th and my roommate is moving in with her fiancé so I have to find a place . Even more stressful: I will be out of town the next two weekends so I can only search 3 weeks before it ends. Most things are going pretty quickly so this is do able but isn't helping my anxiety level.
