We finally met our final Season 8 couple on the December 27 episode of 90 Day Fiancé, and Stephanie and Ryan didn’t disappoint. When the TLC cameras first introduced us to the self-described “cougar” from Michigan, she was hula hooping while wearing UV light glasses while chatting about her “youth serum shots,” but somehow that wasn’t the scene that caught our eye. No, the moment we couldn’t look away from was when she sat down with a psychic to get some insight into the relationship she shares with a man 25 years her junior.

When reality TV romantics Stephanie and Ryan first met while she was on vacation, there was an instant attraction on her part, but she struck up a friendship with him instead. After heading home, she realized she wanted more, and she returned to pursue a relationship with the 27-year-old. However, their huge age gap — and the long-distance — has her occasionally questioning if he’s as committed to the relationship as she is (and if he realizes just how big of a deal that commitment is for her). Instead of having those important conversations with her fiancée directly, she’s decided to get a third party’s take on the situation.

The Set Up

The Michigander, as it turns out, is a true believer in the spiritual side of things. She called her “friend and psychic” Maria the “real deal.” Speaking to the cameras, she explained, “She’s told me enough things that have happened that no one would have ever known, so I listen to her whole-heartedly. … This whole process has caused so much stress, and there’s been many times recently when I call and he doesn’t answer. … I need Maria’s skill set more than ever to help calm my nerves.” But it’s clear their relationship isn’t strictly professional. As soon as the other woman arrives, Stephanie breaks out the wine, happy to oblige when her pal requests a “double” pour.
