'Younger' Stars Debi Mazar & Molly Bernard On Cast Friendships & What They'd Want From A Spin-Off

The final season of Younger is upon us. After six seasons on TV Land, the show has found a home on Paramount + and on Thursday, April 15, the first four episodes will drop, with the remaining eight dropping weekly on Thursdays.

But when it's over... is it over? Executive producer Darren Star told Variety in early April that the Hilary Duff as Kelsey Peters spin-off is still a possibility (he described it as similar to a female Entourage, with Kelsey following a job and a dream to L.A.) and when The Dipp spoke to Younger author Pamela Redmond back in July 2020, she mentioned that Broadway producers had been in touch about a potential Younger musical. (No word on that yet.)

Even if the show does, in someway, go on, there's an inherent sadness and a lot of emotion that comes with filming a final season (more on that later); add to that the difficulty of shooting during Covid, and it's a real mess.

Stars Debi Mazar and Molly Bernard told me all about the challenges the virus brought to set, but below, we discuss Molly's relationship with co-star Hilary, what Debi stole from the set, and how hard it was to say goodbye. Mild spoilers ahead!

The Dipp: Molly, you midwifed Hilary Duff's Baby Mae and you officiated Hilary’s wedding. Your doing the splits at her wedding was our first glimpses that you could handle the wirework you did for this season.
