Winter House has officially begun, which means it’s time to start judging the cast’s individual performances. Who do we like? Who do we not like? Who is that Italian model/business owner, and where did he come from? (Italy, sure. But like, spiritually, where did he come from?)

On the season premiere, stars from Summer House and Southern Charm mingled with new “friends” plucked right off of Instagram, all of them jockeying for position within the existing Bravo hierarchy. During the first 24 hours of the cast’s 17-day sojourn to Stowe, Vermont, the happy campers fought over bedrooms, cooked a soggy-looking pizza dinner, fell down several times during snowboarding, and, of course, got very drunk during a “spring break”-themed party at the AirBnB.

Who came out on top, though? The results, I think, are surprising. Here’s my current power ranking.

7. In last place, we have Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula

In our current timeline, Kyle and Amanda just had a wedding that made The New York Times’ Style section. But in the world of Winter House, they have so far failed to command respect from any of their peers. This was evidenced most obviously by the fact that the couple — the only committed partners in the house — did not win the primary bedroom for themselves.

Instead, Kyle spent a frighteningly wasted night sleeping on a chaise lounge, a kitchen table, and the bathroom floor. Best of luck to them this season.
