The best appetizer is one that you can eat with one lil pop in the mouth. Not greasy or messy. And delish. But honestly, I'll eat anything other than a shrimp cocktail.

The best cocktail hour I ever went to was at my friends wedding and legit the entire perimeter of the room was tables of food. They had like a bacon station, a Mac and cheese station, multiple meat and cheese tables, they were carving prime rib. It was wild. 

i have to argue on behalf of mac & cheese bites - when done well, they are gooey and just so delicious 

After I read your first sentence I immediately thought "mac and cheese bites" and then felt instantly judged reading the second sentence. When they're done well, they're done WELL.  

But I agree — nothing with a stick or anything you have to throw out. I'm also trash for pigs in a blanket — they never disappoint. 

One of the best I had was a tiny little one-bite tuna and avocado taco. Nice and refreshing. 

Mac and cheese bites are the shit, no matter how well done they are. 

Polenta bites are always a big winner too. Anything to provide sustenance so you can truly enjoy the open bar. 🍸 

Honestly I do love the Mac and Cheese bites. I find that the apps and cocktail hour are normally better than the actual meal..

Bacon wrapped dates. Really classy people will do Bacon wrapped goat-cheese stuffed dates. But I'm not picky. 

What's the best wedding app? Do not say Mac & Cheese bites, those are always dry. And don't say Chicken Satay Skewer. No one wants to hold a little wooden stick for the rest of the cocktail hour. 

"OMG this wedding has the best passed appetizers..." what are they serving?
