I felt really silly doing the first look. Like, my partner is supposed to be all, "OMG" seeing me in a dress, but... it's still just me in a dress. I don't look unexpectedly different! What was worse was that the entire wedding party was watching. It was super awkward. 

That said, I did like doing pictures ahead of time, but if I had my way, it would just be like, a "oh, hey, time for pictures," not a whole THING.

Because it’s easier to take pictures before the wedding so you don’t miss the party! The first look as an action felt silly, but it’s a practical thing more than anyone else. And still married here, so not a jinx yet!

OH I was thinking you felt like this bc people were lookin' ugly and the first look just let them realize it was a huge mistake earlier! LOL 

Maybe divorces are on the rise because of this first look trend. You should not be seeing the bride before the wedding. I hate that. I know it’s just a superstition but like why is that even a thing
