Having seen how successful arranged marriages appear on the most-underrated show on Bravo, Family Karma, I feel like I would be able to adapt to one. I would never choose this route, but I think if it was a cultural norm, I would be able to handle it. Especially because I think you have SOMEWHAT of a say in modern times (last 50 years or so). Like, it's not totally up to your parents. Not sure!

At this point in my dating life/experiences I'd almost welcome it. 

Abso-freakin-lutley not. My parents had a terrible marriage so I would not trust them to arrange one for me!! 

No way. I don't like being told I have to do anything, let alone having to marry someone. I know it works in some scenarios, but I think that more showcases the power of friendship (which, admittedly, is important in any marriage). But I couldn't be forced at all. 

Yeah honestly, I think I could. As long as the person I'm matched with is a GOOD person, I think I can get along with pretty much anyone and deal. 

Sometimes I think I could because dating is exhausting but then my mom will show me a guy she thinks is cute and I’m like HELL NO. I do love the idea of having to skip all the dating drama though 😂

It was more common long ago and is still very common in other cultures. I’m blessed in the fact that I am not pressured by my mom to be in a relationship much less marry someone.

But I always think about what if I was one of those people whose partner has already been chosen for them.. would I go along with it or would I run away and dishonor my family.
