That is so rude! So it thanked you for being a guest, but not giving a gift?

Is there a chance that there will be TWO thank yous? One as a generic thank you for coming, and a personal one for the gift? Maybe the latter will take time to execute and they feel bad about that so they sent an initial thank you. 

When I got married in Vegas we just thanked our guests right then and there.

God, I think I spent three whole weekends writing thank you notes after I got married. It definitely seems callous to have NO personalization (not even a “loved seeing you lynn” in pen?). I understand choosing to save the trees and sending digital thank yous, but this is an odd choice. 

I just got a thank you card in the mail for a wedding gift, and it wasn’t personalized. It was a photo of the couple with an embossed gold “thank you for being our guest.”

Is this a new trend? I guess I’m old fashioned and think personalized is better 🙃
