There may be only one Tree Hill, but there are nine(!) seasons of One Tree Hill, the little WB-turned-UPN-turned-CW teen soap that could. In our latest episode of TV. Watch. Repeat., my co-host Allison Piwowarski and I talk about the series' humble beginnings, and its progression into one of Hollywood's most tumultuous sets ever.
As Sophia Bush once told Andy Cohen, "Hilarie [Burton] and I used to laugh and we were like, ‘If we had a behind-the-scenes show, the drama would be so much f—— better than the drama that the writers write.'” Fifteen years later, that drama was unveiled, shedding a different light on what was once thought to be a light-hearted series.
Still... there's plenty to enjoy, as my co-host and longtime fan Allison contends. So look back at One Tree Hill's pilot alongside us, and walk away with a new slew of fun facts about stars Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty, Dan's heart, and the jarring memory of Nathan's nipple ring.
