9 People Who Could Replace Ellen DeGeneres Who Aren't Kelly Clarkson Or Kristen Bell

When Ellen DeGeneres announced the end of The Ellen Show on Wednesday, May 12, I figured there was a 50/50 chance that we'd be getting a new reality competition about casting her replacement. (They could call it Ellen DeGeneres' The Host With The Most or something.) Fortunately, it doesn't look like that's happening, which means the burden has fallen to us to find out who should replace Ellen in the daytime talkshow world.

Upon hearing the news, most people assumed that Kelly Clarkson would be taking over DeGeneres' time slot with her hit show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. After all, Clarkson's show has been a) scandal-free so far, and b) reportedly tying Ellen in the ratings. Then there's also Kristen Bell, who has been rumored to be in the running to replace DeGeneres for years. (She frequently appears on the show and has her own EllenTube show, Momsplaining with Kristen Bell.)

There have been a few out of the box suggestions, too. The AV Club's Matt Schimkowitz threw their weight behind Guy Fieri, and one fan has even started a Change.org petition to get Jojo Siwa in that coveted talkshow seat. But those are both pretty far-fetched. Then, on Thursday, a new report claimed that Tiffany Haddish, who has guest hosted The Ellen Show before, was now the front runner to replace DeGeneres, and, honestly, it's perfect. And it got me thinking, who else are we leaving out of the "replace Ellen" conversation? Here are my top picks to replace Ellen DeGeneres next year that aren't Clarkson, Bell, or Fieri.
