If you're a Shahs of Sunset fan like myself, you know a few things to be true. First, Nema's teeth. That's it, that's the first thing. Second, Strip Jenga is never a good idea. Just don't do it. Third, Reza and MJ's friendship (or lack there of) could put you in an early grave.

But with the new Shahs of Sunset Season 9 trailer, there may be hope for these two life-long friends after all, because the theme of the season seems to be letting go. Grudges are out, to paraphrase Mike (who seems to be getting ready for a hell of a season of his own), and getting along is in. All is well and everyone is going to be happy and healthy and not scream personal health details in front of cameras or throwing potted plants or accusing husbands of cheating or get into physical fights, right?

Wrong. Because within the two minute long trailer, MJ reminds Reza that he wasn't there for her when she almost died giving birth to a whole entire baby, Tommy calls Reza a "malignant tumor of a human," and I Google to see that Reza's retraining order against Tommy was in full affect as of the beginning of the pandemic.

Beyond that, Golnesa seems to be the voice of reason this season (she can't believe it either) and Mike and Paulina's relationship seems to be on the rocks. Destiny makes a big move and, oh, did I mention that Reza and MJ are still fighting over Season 8? Deep breaths, my friends. We'll get through this together.

Shahs of Sunset Season 9 premieres on Sunday, May 16, so take the time until then to get your affairs in order, because if Reza vs. MJ is the central plot line of the season, you're gonna need it.
