I can tell you that a mom I don't want is the mom from My So-Called Life. She was a stressed out mess. And probably way too realistic of a character to be anything other than maligned on '90s TV

Skyler is NOT a bad mom. At all. Walt is a monster, and most people who come after Skyler are just gross incels. She’s not perfect, but in no way was she a bad mother. 

Cersei also is nothing but protective of her children. Terrible person, but I wouldn’t say bad mom — she just made some bad choices for them. Lysa Aryn was far worse.

I would say Betty Draper could have been a better mom, but she also had a shit husband who offered no help.  

All the moms on Gossip Girl and PLL. I’m sorry I’m high school your children shouldn’t be opening up clubs and trying to solve murders. Get your butt in there and do some homework

We’ve talked about some of the best, but got into a polite disagreement at our family brunch about who the WORST tv mom is. I said Cersei from GOT but others at the table said Skyler from Breaking Bad. (I’ve never seen it unfortunately.) 

Also I swear if someone says Julie Cooper Nichols Cooper Roberts I will LOSE IT. she was doing her BEST!
