Nah. I loved the series but I feel like we’ve seen the coming of age tale of a girl in the 70s

Eh. I love Kiernan, but this seems like a reach. The series was so of its time, and I’m not sure exploring another Draper will be interesting enough. I’m not dying for another Matthew Weiner vehicle — I would prefer to see her do something else.

And for some reason, I feel like Sally would be in Jersey. 

My hot take is that Mad Men overall wouldn’t do as well if it premiered today. It’s a great show, but I always characterized it as one where it’s more about the life of its characters than any clear plot. 

Sally was a great character but don’t think she could hold a spin off in todays fierce competitive environment. 

Kiernan Shipka wants a Mad Men spin-off focused on Sally. As she said:

“I’m not done with Sally  … I don’t think she’d be in New York. I think she’d do L.A… But I’m not done with her at all.”

1. Is this something you’d want to see? I think the most interesting thing about Sally was her youth and waning innocence, to be honest. A grown-up Sally? Not sure what I’d want to see from her. I would almost prefer a Joan or Peggy spin-off. (Or even Megan, tbh.)

2. Would Sally indeed be in L.A.? I’m not so sure.
