Hotel hair dryers are the true sign of the patriarchy
I've traveled a lot in my life, and stayed at hotels both nice and terrible, and they all manage to have one thing in common: terrible hairdryers.
Even the nicest hotels, which will equip rooms with high quality razors for men, and even god dang shoe polish, will still have a hair dryer that clearly was no more than $5 and burns out within one usage.
Now, I would LOVE to be able to bring my own hair dryer, but I don't often have the luxury of fitting something so big in my suitcase. But what hotels provide in terms of hair dryers proves to me there is not one woman at the hotel board meeting. And if there is — what is she doing?!
