So are Queen Elizabeth II on The Crown and Bridgerton's Duke of Hastings technically... roomies? Well, if we're going by The Crown and Bridgerton filming locations, they just as well may be.
One eagle-eyed TikTok user, @rakhee_81, pointed out a few not so subtle callbacks between the two Netflix period dramas. Namely, that these two stately productions used the same sets for key scenes in Season 4 of The Crown and Season 1 of Bridgerton. Let's check them out.
The Study
For one, @rakhee_81 asks in their Tik Tok video, which you can watch here, "Have you been wondering why this room (Bridgerton) looks so familiar?!" Cutting to the next scene, the text reads,"Well it turns out the Duke lives in the same house as the Queen (The Crown)."
This "Large Smoking room" from Wilton House showcases distinct yellow curtains and walls, a marble fireplace with a grand clock on top, and walls strewn with photographs in geometrically coordinated lines. And in reviewing both scenes, it does seem to track as the same backdrop for both the Queen and the Duke in the two series, using the room as their study to take care of family affairs.
The Music Room
But are there any other rooms that double for the two series? Why yes, dear readers. This Tik Toker knows what they're doing, as they pointed out that the "red carpet" room at Lancaster House is the designated locale for a scene from both series as well.
