It may be the dead of winter, but on Bravo, it's summer baby! And summer should be fun, per Kyle Cooke. Summer House's return on Monday brings a new house, new faces, and a whole bunch of new drama. What isn't new is a new format. Last summer, the show sequestered its cast in a house for the season for the sake of COVID precautions, so you may wonder how Summer 2021 went down in the Hamptons and when they filmed Summer House.

Before you come for me, I know they film during the summer, so this current season was filmed during Summer 2021. But did they sequester, or were the Summer House cast commuting back and forth to the Hamptons each weekend?

According to US Weekly "the original format will seemingly be restored as the stars travel to and from the city." They also added that filming started at the end of June 2021 and filming also took place at Amanda and Kyle's wedding on Sept. 25, 2021.

So, while we may not get the cast taking Zoom calls from their messy bedrooms, we do get to see them return to old habits, nurture relationships outside of the Hamptons (cough, Carl and Lindsay), and be the drunk lovable fools we love all around the state of New York.
