7 Questions I Have About 'Shadow And Bone's Grishaverse

Netflix's Shadow and Bone is a sprawling YA fantasy series that makes Game of Thrones and its endless stream of Houses seem downright easy to comprehend in retrospect. The show is based on a series of books written by Leigh Bardugo that are collectively known as the Grishaverse, and if you've read all of the books, the TV series likely makes perfect sense. But if you don't know a Grisha from a Drüskelle, it's all a little bit overwhelming. As someone who falls in the latter camp, I came away from Shadow and Bone with a whole lot of questions about the Grishaverse.

Warning: Spoilers for Season 1 follow. Granted, most of the answers to these questions are probably found within the pages of the books, or maybe the show even offered them up in a roundabout away, and I was too distracted by The Darkling's sexy brooding to comprehend what was going on in front of me. This is a judgment free zone, OK?

All I know for sure is that while I'm 100% in for this show to run at least five more seasons, I'm also more than a little confused by the rules of the Grishaverse, as well as some of the choices the characters made over the course of Season 1. If you're equally confused then join me as I count down the top seven questions I have after watching Shadow and Bone.
