"It was a lot." That's an understatement from Cherry Valentine, star of Season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. After all, she not only appeared on a season broken up COVID, but also stepped away from the runway during the pandemic to work at the ICU as a mental health nurse. "It was one of the toughest six months of my life," she told Joseph Shepherd on the latest episode of his podcast, Exposed: Dragged Out. Obviously, we've got the whole pandemic, all this stuff happening .. and then I also have the stress, the panic, of this whole Drag Race cloud looming over me."
Particularly since Cherry placed a shocking 12th place on the season, despite having a look so good, it was downright scary. But she climbed out of a COVID-fueled "deep dark hole" to thrive, and started her own traveling tour company.
Listen to the latest episode of Exposed: Dragged Out below, and find out about Cherry's unconventional upbringing, her unexpected elimination, what we could have expected from her Monster runway, and so much more.
