I married someone with my uncle's name, and I find that hard enough. So hard, I will only call him by his full name, rather than his nickname, since that's what my uncle goes as. And I hate nicknames.

I don't think I would do something like that but if I did I would give my boyfriend a nickname so there is no confusion or awkwardness when I say his name lol

No, this is definitely tough. My dad has an uncommon name, so I don't have to worry about that. And, I don't have a brother, BUT my boyfriend has the same nickname as my best guy friend's real name (sorry if that was confusing lol). His nickname is what his entire family calls him. It took me the longest time to get used to it and differentiate when getting their attention, especially when my boyfriend and guy friend also became friends and started hanging out together. 

As someone whose version of my name is a "boy" name, I find it hard sometimes because sometimes cuties have MY name. I think I could handle someone having my dad's, but I draw the line at my own.

Not necessarily dad/brother... but if your partner shared the same name as someone in your immediate family, would it freak you out? I just started talking to a guy who shares my dad's name and for some reason I can't shake it. He seems great — totally good guy, no red flags that I'm seeing — but his name! Is my dad's! Gah, am I being unreasonable?
