He is a year older than me, so he went away to college while I was still in high school and it TESTED us. But, the next year I went away to school and it was all good. Still together!

My partner and I were long distance when we first met, so every day felt like it brought a challenge!

My partner had to cancel our first vacation ever because of work. Really tested priorities and communication -- we made it through but it was a TEST. Enjoy the tests! They'll make you guys who you are

The best thing about traveling together as a new couple is figuring out IF you can travel together. Because something ALWAYS goes wrong. I'm a very impatient person, so the first time we had a delayed flight, my partner saw the worst in me. Didn't test the relationship rom my end of things, but I imagine it did from his, lol. 

My now-husband worked consulting for years, but when we started dating, his assignment was the US contact on an abroad project. Which meant he had no office to go to, which meant he worked off of my sofa every day (this was before the pandemic made it cool). 

Obviously, it worked out, but there was worry about us being TOO present with each other. Lucky for me, he’s a great chef, so his WFH led to many fantastic meals.

I’ll have to go with a nightmare travel experience where both me and my partner wanted to politely kill each other (but didn’t!). 

Was there an experience early on in your relationship that you were like, we may or may not make it through this! But ultimately did?
