Is Andy Cohen Too Hard On Candiace Dillard Bassett?

During the Real Housewives of Potomac Season 6 reunion, there was something off between Andy Cohen and Candiace Dillard Bassett. There was tension. There was stress. There were bad vibes. But after reading Dave Quinn’s Housewives’ exposé Not All Diamonds and Rosé, I have more context as to why the two might not be on the best of terms.

After Candaice’s infamous fight with Monique Samuels in Season 5, Quinn reports that Candiace claimed that Andy never reached out to her and that she was brushed off when attempting to contact him. Andy doesn’t seem to have a recollection of this, but it’s clear to me after watching parts one and two of the reunion, and after reading the book, that he thought she provoked the infamous fight.

On parts one and two, Andy seemed to be annoyed by Candiace's mere presence, but he also seemed to be a lot tougher on her than her castmates. Now granted, I do understand that Candiace's mouth can be pretty "out there" and since Candiace’s reactions provide a storyline, it would make sense that Andy would try to hold Candiace accountable for the shit she stirred this season.

Thing is, though, that Candiace wasn’t the only one to say some really nasty things. Andy and the Potomac women seem to think that Candiace is the only one who “cuts to the bone” with her insults, but is that the case?
