'RHONY' Recap: Ramona Is Wrong 87% Of The Time

After digesting last week's episode of the Real Housewives of New York, I've come to a tough conclusion: I am Remy in Ratatouille. You know when he's trying to figure out what else to put in the sauce, and he's dancing around the pot, spinning with his ladle, and wafting the air? What ingredient is missing, he wonders. Salt? Basil? Pepper? Because on the one hand, I could watch the RHONY women do anything, but on the other, something is missing and I don’t know what it is.

This is hard for me to admit, it really is. But this is a safe space. Takes deep breath.

Sonja Morgan might be the problem.

I've been seeing a lot of hate for Leah McSweeney and Eboni K. Williams, blaming them for a lack luster season… it’s been three episodes. Let's give the newbies a break. Also, without Leah creating some new energy, what would we have? And Eboni is brand new, so literally let’s not judge her yet. She's being open and honest and she's not afraid to get in the mix.

But then there's Sonja, doing the same song and dance we've seen for the majority of her time on the show. And frankly, I am tired. I am tired of seeing the lack of growth, living in the past, crying over a marriage that ended 15 years ago, and a townhouse that is crumbling. Instead of blaming the newbies, let’s make sure the vets are earning their paychecks.
