Yeah Frank gets a raw deal at the hand of Jack Black Randall. I really have a hard time separating them in my mind, which I suppose is the point of the same actor playing two different characters, and it's tough to feel sympathy for Frank because of his ancestor AND his shortcomings with Claire. Even though, you're right, he handled Claire' WILD return with grace, I still can't help but seem him as evil.

He's not perfect — though TV Frank is definitely better! But I do think that he got dealt a really bad hand in the series and I feel like I never really see that conversation happening. What gives? Is it just because he is no Jamie? The man's wife disappeared and came back pregnant by another man and he stuck by her. All while not committing her, which let's be honest, would have been the most rational thing to do. 

He's definitely displayed some toxic traits throughout Claire's memories of him. And I'm not excusing those moments at all. But just looking back at his time as a whole, he really got dealt a bad hand!
