Life is rarely calm for Jamie and Claire on Outlander, even at their homestead of Fraser's Ridge. And it sure seems their settlement is going to be shaken up in Season 6 by the appearance of a new resident — the one and only Malva Christie. While there has been no official confirmation from Starz that Malva will be in Outlander Season 6, there have been some clues that this character from Diana Gabaldon's books will be included. Spoilers ahead for Outlander Book 6, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
Malva initially starts out as a young woman who Claire is mentoring in her surgery, but it's eventually revealed that Malva is not all that innocent. She weaves a tangled web that begins to unravel after she falsely claims that Jamie has impregnated her. True to Outlander, the Malva Christie plot goes places with witchcraft, murder, and incest coming into play.
With Marsali helping Claire in her surgery in Season 5, some fans wondered if that meant Outlander wasn't going to feature Malva Christie. But read on to see why I think there are some solid reasons to believe Malva is headed for the Ridge in Season 6.
Richard Brown's Revenge
Jamie delivered Lionel Brown's dead body to his brother Richard in one of the last scenes of Season 5. Upon receiving his brother's corpse, Richard ominously told Jamie, "Lionel, he reaped what he sowed. And you did what you must. As will I... when the time comes." While I cannot emphasize enough how massively unjust this is since Lionel was responsible for the kidnapping and rape of Claire, Richard seems to believe he has some right to seek vengeance against the Frasers.
