I interpret this as less thirst and more marketing. These "dating" shows are really just launching platforms for influencers / online personalities to grow sponsor supported businesses. And the loudest voice wins. 

Agreed that it's getting more and more annoying, since there's such little incentive to find love (which we want to see!) and such a larger incentive to become a social media star. I'd love to hear a counter argument bec I'm starting to get worn out by these series.

I didn't watch the first season, but definitely seems like a lot of the cast is trying to extend their 15 min of fame. I  mean we know Shake is getting a podcast deal out of this...so maybe some of the others are trying to see what's in it for them after the show...can't say I blame them!

My enjoyment of the show comes FROM all the thirstiness. I love the drama. I live for it. This whole season has been a ridiculous rollercoaster and that is EXACTLY what I want. The more weird twists, the better. That said, I will be requiring Netflix to create a post-show wrap-up to help me navigate my trauma. 

I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY. But I'll go a step further: it comes off as nerdy thirst, which is just even more uncomfortable than regular thirst. Just feels kinda dorky? So cringe. If they were more themselves and weren't trying to be all InFlueNcErY then I'd feel better about the whole thing.

What's weird to me is JUST how cagey they're being, which points to two possibilities:

1) They know their 15 minutes are almost up, and they've got to secure more headlines to cement their influencer status. 

2) There is enough post-show happenings that Netflix might be putting together a follow-up that requires them to hide what really is going on. 

Maybe I'm harnessing a ton of negative energy this week but the cast of Love is Blind is driving me nuts. Every last one of them.

Shake, for obvious reasons. Kyle and Deepti, just say if you are dating and stop posting cryptic Tik Tok and Instagram posts. Even Natalie, posting photos with Sal saying "IYKYK." WE DON'T KNOW, NATALIE. SO TELL US OR STOP POSTING.

They are all coming off VERY thirsty to me. Am I the only one annoyed with them all?
