The mystery of who killed Erin has finally been solved. Erin murderer has been arrested, and yet there's still more story to be told — and definitely more vape pens to puff. Plus, Kate Winslet wants a Mare of Easttown Season 2, and who are we mere mortals to deny her? Let's get this show on the road already!

Mare of Easttown was always intended to be a one-and-done type of detective series, but, "I would absolutely love to play Mare again," Winslet told TVLine after the finale aired Sunday, May 30. "I miss her. I really do." Series director Craig Zobel was more cagey, telling the outlet that he "would be excited to see" another season, but also added, "I also like it as a miniseries."

Unfortunately, Winslet and Zobel aren't the only people who need to be on board with the project. And others, like Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby, seem more hesitant about a Season 2, telling The Hollywood Reporter that he'd only want to return if he could come up with a story that "felt like it was a deserving second chapter in Mare's journey." So far, he hasn't found that story yet, but said that, if he did, fans can bet that a Season 2 would be "a continuation of the story that honors the first chapter and does things an audience will appreciate."
