Love Is Blind Season 1 premiered just before the whole world seemed to shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020. Now, two years later, Love Is Blind Season 2 is here, having filmed in the interim. Still, it's a long wait for a show, and given that Nick Lachey told Entertainment Tonight that Love Is Blind Season 3 has already been shot, it's not easy to decipher exactly when the second one actually filmed. But thanks to some context clues and the rare offhand mention of the time of year throughout the season, we have figured it out.

Timing is everything when it comes to Love Is Blind, given that they have just 38 days together before walking down the aisle, as are the locations. For both seasons, the pod scenes were filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, and then the lucky, engaged couples head to a retreat in Mexico. In Season 1, they filmed the first nights together at the Gran Velas Riviera Maya resort in Cancun, Mexico, per Cinemaholic. In Season 2, those first days together were instead filmed at the TRS Coral Hotel in Costa Mujeres before the couples pack it in and head back to Chicago, according to Elite Daily, and plan their weddings.

While filming was still down due to the coronavirus, it picked back up in early 2021, though it's hard to tell since the first handful of episodes are filmed in the pods after the contestants quarantined so we don't see any masks. But later in Chicago, masks are definitely being worn by people in the background and then, the real clue comes when one of the cast members mentions that they are getting marred on June 7, 2021. Since they just spend a month together, it's safe to say that the bulk of the show was filmed in May. It's likely that the show was set to film in 2020 and then picked back up, especially considering that Season 3 has already been shot, too.

This is all good news, because it means that while there was a long wait for Love Is Blind Season 2, subsequent ones should come much quicker.
