Tommy Wiseau claimed it was, so we can assume it's true. 

But, really, yes and no. I think, after being with someone long enough, love BECOMES blind. But for the initial spark, there does need to be some sense of attraction. I think the show is counting on the former, assuming that time in the pods is enough to make love develop, but I think you need years, not days, for that to happen. 

Largely, yes. Attraction isn’t, but love — best friend love, family love, etc. — is most definitely blind. 

I know it's deep, but the show really got me thinking... Is love blind? (We know it's deaf, because I can't imagine someone singing to me the way Sal sang to Mallory.) Weigh in!
