I’m pretty sure I spent every spring break at home (and I’m not sure I would necessarily enjoy staying in a Florida motel with fellow 18-year-olds), but I agree with @Casey re: New Orleans. At least you’ll eat enough food to keep the alcohol down. 

As a kid or in college, I think a beach side hotel would have been my default answer. As an adult, I would say either a cruise - because I would get taken around beautiful islands with great food and booze, no stress of needing to make a plan, and all at very reasonable prices - or to a cabin at a beautiful lake where there are trails to hike and places to read in peace with a nice view.

I am so sad I never got to have a From Justin To Kelly spring break. I want to go down to Florida and perform choreographed dances with fellow youngins, and wear a skirt made of ties. To never have that in my life… I’ll always feel something is missing. 

My favorite spring break was when I was in college I went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans and all of my best friends crammed into one hotel room and legit had the best freaking time. I’m not in school or a teacher but I am going away in a couple weeks to St Thomas and I’ve never been and am legitimately stoked!!

When I was kid growing up in Phoenix, we'd go to Southern California - LA and Orange County for Disneyland. It was delightful.

Now, I'll take anywhere with a hint of warmth and sunshine.

It's officially the first day of Spring so for those of us in school (or those with kids), the promise and sweet, sweet freedom of Spriiiiiiing brrrreeeeeeaaaaaak is that much closer. 

Now whether you go on Spring vacation or Spring break (woo hoo!), where's the best place you've ever visited for that most blessed time off of work and/or school? Where do you still *wish* you could go for Spring break?
