The question we don't have the answer to is exactly what she was referring to when she said "it seems like nobody wants to work these days." Is she talking about her experience with employees? Her conversations with others? To be fair, a lot of meme culture surrounds "I-don't-want-to-work" punchlines, so if you're scrolling IG, you could make that assessment and sum it up in a glib quote. 

I guess I'm saying we can't really criticize without knowing the origin of her sentiment. 

To answer your question -- ofc they are. While I do agree that a lot of young people think that just being on social media will make things just land in their lap, I think people like the Kardaisians are a huge reason why. I literally know nothing about Kylie, so I could be wrong, but if she didn't have famous sisters/family who had money...would she have any of the things she's had? Not saying she doesn't work, or work hard (I truly have no idea) but no way they can compare themselves to us.

Kim does work harder than a lot of Hollywood celebrities, and my guess is that’s what she was pointing to more than anything else. I would like to think she’s grown since the KK game era. At least, I hope. 

Kimmy is getting backlash online for her "business advice" to women in their Variety spread. Her direct quote was, "I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f------ ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days."

Jessica DeFino, who used to work for the Kardashian Hollywood game app tweeted, 'I was an editor on the Kardashian apps in 2015 in LA, worked days nights & weekends, could only afford groceries from the 99 Cents Only Store, called out “sick” more than once bc I couldn’t put gas in my car to get to the office, & was reprimanded for freelancing on the side ❤️.'

It's not that people don't want to work (the majority, anyways). People don't want to work in toxic environments and still struggle to pay the bills. Us common folk don't have the luxury of falling back on millions of dollars or escaping to a private island in the middle of the pandemic to *~unwind~*.

For the most part, I like the Kardashians. But stuff like this makes me really dislike them. Are they REALLY that out of touch with reality?
